Introduction To Natural Skin Care
Men usually don’t care about our skin. It’s a simple fact.
Dehydration is the loss of water in the body, sometimes severe
enough to cause shock since the human body is composed of
seventy five percent water. They are also particularly important
to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne,
and also for people with dry skin. To avoid dehydration, you
should drink at least eight glasses of water a day,
approximately 64 ounces of water, more in really hot weather.
Drinking alcohol also leads to dehydration since alcohol is a
diuretic. Diuretics draw water from the body, and lower the
water level in the body. A good sleep during the night helps
greatly in maintaining moisture in the skin. At least six to
eight hours of sleep is needed for the body to function at its
peak.
Most people lack fiber in their diets - the average person eats
only 12 g of fiber a day. Essential fats are thought to keep
your heart healthy, fight inflammation, and possibly prevent
cancer. Cold water fish - Sardines are a good source of
essential fats. Salmon is another good source, however these
salmon accumulate toxic polychlorinated biphenyls (otherwise
known as PCBs) in their body fat during the 95 percent of their
lives they spend at sea. Choose a foundation that seals in
moisture, such as one that contains silicone, silica, or
glyconucleopeptides. Women and men need to follow a daily skin
care regime in order to maintain the health and vitality of
their skin. Honey, olive oil and a mixture of turmeric and
sandalwood paste are all very effective in rejuvenating dry ,
parched skin.
Several natural aids have been found useful in promoting healthy
and beautiful skin. Massage helps the skin to absorb oils and
creams easily. Lime juice is an important natural aid for
healthy skin. Take four tablespoons each of lime juice and iced
water. Saturate cotton pads in this water and place over your
closed eyelids for 10 minutes. Mix a teaspoon of olive oil with
an egg. Smoothen the face and neck with it. Let it remain till
the skin gets dry. Apply small circular movements to the chin
area, using your thumbs. Tomato, used externally, is good for
getting a good complexion. Make a paste of almonds with mild
cream and fresh rosebud paste. Apply it daily over the face.
This softens and bleaches the skin and nourishes it with the
choicest skin-food.
